Tel-Array was invited by the Ministry of International Trade, the Province of British Columbia, to attend a networking seminar and reception in Vancouver organized by the Zhejiang Department of Commerce, Zhejiang Province, People's Republic of China.
Zhejiang Province, situated on China's south-east coast, is among the richest and most well-developed provinces in China. Its capital and largest city, Hangzhou, is a political, economical and cultural centre of the province, and is known for its high living standards, well-developed infrastructure and rapid economic development in a variety of sectors.
Zhejiang Department of Commerce brought a business delegation of 18 companies in the ICT, tourism, agri-food, innovation science, life sciences, and environmental renewables sectors, all searching for business collaboration opportunities with BC companies in trade and investment, to this seminar.
The event was an excellent opportunity for Tel-Array to network with Zhejiang businesses and obtain first-hand insights about the Chinese market.
Dr. Kyla Hingwing was recently interviewed by The Province regarding her invitation to speak at She Talks, a women's leadership and empowerment movement that holds regular events in which various women share their stories. Specifically, the November 15th event featured women from the tech industry and Dr. Hingwing was one of sixteen speakers present. Tel-Array is proud and privileged to have Dr. Hingwing on its Research & Development team.
The article was reported by Larissa Cahute of The Province on November 12th, 2015: "She Talks: The whirlwind experience of transitioning back into work as a new mom".
Tel-Array is pleased to have attended an invitation only Medical Device Workshop held July 21-23, 2015 in Taipei, Taiwan, organized by the National Research Council (NRC) of Canada and the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) of Taiwan.
Through this workshop, Tel-Array established strong business connections and research collaborations with Taiwanese companies and fellow Canadian delegate companies (B2B and B2R&D); learned from scientific experts and leading companies in areas including in vitro diagnostics; and explored Taiwan's advantages and strengths in medical devices. Taiwan is a source of venture capitalist investment and a strategic location for the supply chain of IT industries and high-tech manufacturing. Furthermore, Taiwan is a potential launch point for accessing large Asia markets, such as Mainland China and Indonesia, and hence an important consideration in Tel-Array's expansion strategies.
